1976 Corvette Stingray: Restore, Repair, Detail: What's the Plan for the '81 Corvette?

My "new" C3 Corvette got its first bath (by me, anyway), a few days ago, and in this video, I assess the project as well as some of the things that I will be doing to it.

The 1981 C3 Corvette will provide lots of video coverage of the different DIY projects I am planning.

Things such as complete interior detailing, fixing inoperative power window switches, courtesy lights that do not turn on when you open a door, and so much more.

I have approximately ten videos already scheduled for the next couple of months, with more being produced almost every day. Steering Column Swap

1977-1982 Corvette steering columns have several advantages over the 1968-1976 units, the most notorious being the overall length of the assembly.

When compared side-by-side, the difference is obvious and significant, even though newer columns are shorter by only 2 inches. However, that small difference translates into a HUGE benefit for the driver—especially tall drivers with long arms.

In this series of articles, I chronicle the process of modifying and rebuilding a 1978 tilt and telescoping steering column that I plan to use in my 1976 Corvette.
