My C3 Vettes

Over the years, I've owned six Corvettes, ranging from 1968 through 1976.

I love C2s as much as the next guy, and C6s and C7s are also great candidates for the "want" list, but my favorite Corvettes will always be third-generation models.

I do not have any photos of my '68 (that was more than thirty years ago), but I was able to dig up a couple of old pics from the early 1980s of my first 1976 Stingray plus a couple really bad Polaroids® of the '71s I owned.

My dark blue '71 Stingray.

And the other 1971 Stingray.

I also owned a 1975 Vette, which was a real basket case (photo below). Thank God common sense prevailed and I got rid of it before dumping crazy money on repairs, paint, upholstery, and more.

I tried to find a "chrome bumper" model for reasonable money, but my search left me empty-handed. However, I was able to find a low-mileage, 4-speed 1976 Stingray which fit my list of wants almost perfectly, so I bought it in February 2015.

I have invested quite a bit of money making it "perfect" for me, but this one is a keeper, so I am taking good care of it to ensure it will be around for a long time.

Thank you for following my '76 Vette Blog!
